What Does Wrestling Cost??

Prices of everything seem to be going up. Sports, including wrestling, are not immune from those price increases. Below are some of the costs involved with Arlington Storm Wrestling Club.

  • Registration Fee: approx. $120
    --USA Membership Card, approx. $45 
           (Required for all wrestlers and Coaches)
    --Gym Rental approx. $1500 per season
    --Club Charter $200
    --Club Expenses; have never calculated exact 
          (Mat Cleaner, mat tape, postage, etc.)
    --Coaches Travel Expenses--varies 
          (Hotel, gas, food for out of town tournament 
             Houston, Austin, etc.)
    --End of Season Banquet Ticket: approx. $8
  • Tournament Fees--$15 to $25 (Local vs State/Nat.)
    --Pay only for the tournaments you attend
    --Metroplex Tournaments approx. $15
    --State/National Tournaments approx. $25
  • Uniforms--Approx. $100
    --Singlet: $35-$40 (required for Div. 1-5)
    --Shoes: $35-$40 (required for Div. 1-5)
    --Headgear: $15 (required for all divisions)
  • Additional Gear (optional)-- Approx. $25
    --Storm T-Shirt: $7
    --Storm Sweatshirt: $15-$20 (haven't priced)

There will be a fundraising opportunity available this year. There is potential to raise enough money to cover all of the above costs (yes, there have been wrestlers who's entire season has been paid for through fundraising). We will also have several used items available for loan. Many donate their outgrown wrestling gear to the club. I offer those on a first come/first served basis under the condition that they get re-donated back to the club when they are outgrown.
